A realistic guide to learning.
Rewire your brain in 4 minutes.
I used to think the only way to learn was through courses, routines, and endless patience.
Three years ago, I would’ve celebrated completing another certification. Another notch on my belt. Something to parade on my résumé.
But real progress didn’t come until I started unlearning the advice slowing me down: that I had to follow someone else’s roadmap and do everything perfectly.
Traditional advice doesn’t account for the modern world we find ourselves in.
It assumes unlimited time, flawless focus, and zero distractions.
To move forward, I had to unlearn everything that didn’t match how I live now.
This is how I try to think differently.
If everyone’s doing it, I ask myself why.
I like to challenge mainstream beliefs.
Most advice about learning is recycled from outdated ideas written over a decade ago. Like the 10,000-hour myth.
I think a lot of people hear stuff like this from second-hand sources and believe that’s how long it takes to become a pro, which is not true. I’ve written about this before.
